Alphaca International is a platform dedicated to amplifying accessibility of science–specifically biology–for younger audiences.
We are committed to making advanced biological research more understandable and engaging for a broader audience. We focus on breaking down complex scientific papers and studies into clear, easy-to-understand publications that highlight key findings and ideas. Our mission is to simplify intricate topics and make them more approachable, helping to foster a deeper interest in the life sciences among younger audiences.
Focused on biology, we cover a wide array of topics from genetics and ecology to microbiology and evolution. By providing well-crafted publications, we aim to equip students and science enthusiasts with the knowledge they need (or want) to grasp the latest developments in the field, inspiring curiosity in future generations.

Nathan Zhuang
I’m a grade eleven student at Western Canada High, in the full IB program. I have a strong passion for science—biology and chemistry. Outside of school, I’m a competitive swimmer, challenging myself to push my limits and stay disciplined. It’s a sport I’m passionate about, and I enjoy the sense of achievement it brings. When I’m not swimming, I play the violin, allowing for creative expression. Balancing these pursuits with my academic goals keeps my life cluttered and fulfilling.

Hi, I am Nicole! I am currently a junior at Obra D. Tompkins High School, and was previously a student at Western Canada High School. I love biology and I hope to be able to make digests that will give everyone the opportunity to learn new things in a simpler way! My hobbies are reading, drawing, crocheting and cooking. A fun fact about me is that I have lived in 4 different countries!
